1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Truck Queue("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and related services (the "Service") in the United States. It supplements our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
- Name, email address, phone number, and password (stored in hashed form).
- Role-specific data: driver username; fleet name and fleet ID; facility store number and facility details for shipping accounts.
- Company name, truck number, trailer number (where collected), and similar identifiers.
Queue and operational data
- Check-in records created by facilities (name, carrier, truck, trailer, phone).
- Queue position, status, door assignments, timestamps, and staff notes.
- Photos uploaded when a facility requires them, and facility review actions.
- Device/session tokens used to keep you signed in and link visits to your account.
Location information
When geofencing is enabled for a facility, the Service collects precise device location (latitude and longitude) from your browser or mobile app:
- Facility accounts:When a facility has saved a location pin in Settings, we collect staff device coordinates to confirm desk users are within the facility's configured vicinity (up to one mile from the pin) before allowing queue board and related desk features.
- Driver accounts: When joining a queue, we collect driver device coordinates to confirm the driver is within the same facility-configured vicinity before linking the visit.
- Facility configuration data: Facilities may save a street address, map pin coordinates, and a vicinity radius (up to one mile) as part of their settings. This information is used to perform geofence checks and is visible to authorized facility staff.
Location is collected only when you use features that require it (for example, loading the queue board, checking in drivers, or joining a queue). We do not continuously track your location in the background for geofencing purposes. If you deny location permission, those features may not work.
Payment information
Subscriptions and Driver Pro day passes are processed by our payment processor (such as Stripe). We receive billing status, plan identifiers, and limited customer identifiers—not full card numbers.
Technical and usage information
- IP address, browser or app type, and logs needed for security and debugging.
- Cookies and similar technologies on the web app for authentication and preferences.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide queue management, check-in, door assignment, and driver status features.
- Verify that facility staff and drivers are within a facility's configured vicinity when using geofenced features.
- Verify identity matches between driver accounts and facility check-in records.
- Send transactional SMS or email (verification codes, door alerts, account notices).
- Process payments, subscriptions, trials, and usage limits.
- Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and protect the security of the Service.
- Improve reliability and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use driver queue data or location data for unrelated advertising profiles.
4. How we share information
- With facilities and drivers involved in a visit: Information needed to operate the queue (for example, name and truck on the board, door number, photo review). We do not display live driver GPS coordinates on the facility board; geofence checks are performed server-side and result in allow or deny access.
- With fleet accounts: Information about drivers who request to join or are approved under your fleet ID.
- Service providers: Hosting, SMS, email, payment processing, and analytics vendors under contracts that limit use to providing services to us.
- Legal and safety: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection consistent with this Policy.
5. Retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. Queue visit data may be retained according to facility operational needs and our backup schedules. Device coordinates submitted for geofence checks may be processed in server logs for a limited period for security, debugging, and fraud prevention, but are not retained as a continuous location history after the request is complete. You may request deletion of your account subject to exceptions (for example, open billing disputes or legal holds).
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete certain personal information.
- Opt out of marketing communications (transactional messages may still be sent).
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Control location permissions through your browser or device settings. Denying location access may prevent you from using geofenced features such as joining a queue or operating the facility queue board.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA):You may request to know, delete, or correct personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" as defined by California law. We do not sell personal information. Precise geolocation used for geofencing is collected to provide the Service you request, not for cross-context behavioral advertising. Submit requests to dockqueuesupport@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Other U.S. state laws: Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with privacy laws may have similar rights, including rights related to precise geolocation where applicable. Contact us to exercise them.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe we have collected a child's information and we will delete it.
9. International use
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed in the U.S. where laws may differ from your jurisdiction.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
